Jaipur is the capital of the
state of Rajasthan in India. Also known as the Pink City, Jaipur is one of the
most popular tourist spots in India. Located 281 km from Delhi, Jaipur is a city of
Palaces, Forts and Monuments. This
Beautiful Royal city is a symbol of Indian Culture and Heritage. The
Architecture depicts the History and Tradition of Ancient India. As India is an
inexpensive place, Jaipur can be explored even with a low budget. A close Proximity to Delhi, Tourist
Attractions, Bustling Markets and Exotic Food has made this city a hit among
Foreign and Indian Tourists.
Jaipur is a small city, and easy
to navigate. Though Public Transport is not well established, but Cycle
Rickshaws and Cabs are convenient. The Tourist Attractions are far from each
other. Thus, you would require transportation for the same. We would suggest
you to sign up for a group day tour which covers all the attractions. Main
Tourist Attractions include Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Amber Fort, Sariska Tiger Reserve, Galta ji Temple, Birla
Temple, Haunted Town of Bhan garh and Jaigarh Fort. The city is a must visit for History Lovers.
These attractions will make an Architectural impact on you. You should have at least
2-3 days to fully explore the city.
Jaipur is famous for its Food.
The Rajasthani Food is very delicious, and loved by all. When in Jaipur, do
experience the traditional Rajasthan cuisine. The city is flooded with
Restaurants and Food stalls. Besides that, you will find the usual Indian Restaurants
and Cafes. International Restaurants are hard to find. Mostly, you will have
Indian Restaurants. So, be ready for a total Indian treat.
Shopping in Jaipur is fine. You
will not find many big brands out here. Mostly there are local businesses around
the city. Some places are good for shopping, but not very famous. Jewellery and
Local Handicrafts are very popular. You may consider some. Jaipur is a mid-sized
city, having limited options. It’s just another city where shopping shouldn’t
be given much importance. Purchase those items which are exclusive here.
Getting to Jaipur is easy. It has
a Domestic Airport, with flights to all over India. International travellers
need to connect via any other Indian International Airport. If you are visiting
nearby cities like Delhi, Agra, Chandigarh etc. you may consider Rail/Road. It’s
better to visit Jaipur with some other nearby cities in your itinerary. You can also add Jodhpur to your trip. It’s a
beautiful Rajasthani Town 337 Km away from Jaipur.
So, go ahead and enjoy a Royal
Trip to Jaipur.
