The Fairy-Tale city of Prague

Prague is the capital of Czech Republic. Situated in Eastern Europe, Prague is an Architectural Fairy-tale city. Prague began as a tiny settlement on the banks of the River Vltava over 1000 years ago. Prague is today a world famous architectural jewel, attracting millions of tourists from all over the world.  The cobblestone streets rarely follow a straight line, the city is a labyrinth where even locals get lost.  Home to over 1.2 million people, Prague is the 14th largest city in the European Union.  This was a place designed for Horse Cart and walking, so have some comfortable shoes. Thus, walking is the best way of exploring the city. Famous for its Architecture, Lifestyle, Food and Nightlife, Prague is an emerging tourist Destination.

Prague is a mid- sized city with a good public transport. Public transport includes Buses, Trams and Metro. Trams and Metro are very convenient and cheap. Buses are also good, but not that convenient. Use the Trams and Metro to go too far off places only. Nearby places can be explored on foot or on cycle. While walking, you will experience the beautiful architecture and breath-taking sights of the city. It’s a great way of cherishing the beauty. Main Attractions include Prague Castle, Old Town, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, Bridge Tower, St. Vitus Cathedral and Petrin Hill Observatory. These attractions will give you an experience of a lifetime. Art lovers are advised to visit many of the Art Galleries all around the city. They are beautiful.


Tyn Church Prague


Prague is famous for its Czech Food and Beer. A lot of tourists come to Prague to experience the Czech Food Culture. Czech Beer is famous all over Europe, and must be tried. Prague is famous for its Cafes and Nightclubs. They may be a little expensive, but are worth exploring. Restaurants and Bars in the City Centre are good but a little expensive. You may find some good food at reasonable prices at a few Restaurants. Street Food is good and inexpensive. There is a lot of variety for European Food in Prague. Asian and American Food is also widely available. Asian Restaurants serving Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Thai Food are easily available. Thus, Prague has a Good Food Culture. Also, don’t forget to visit one of its many Nightclubs. Prague Nightlife is famous all over the world.

Prague Old Town


Shopping is decent in Prague. Things are neither too expensive, nor cheap. Branded Fashion and Boutique stores are all over the city. All major Brands are available here. Retail stores like Tesco are very good. They are not only reasonable, but also have a huge variety of goods. Prague is cheaper than Paris, but expensive than Budapest. Shopping here totally depends on your tastes and the time available to you. Purchase things which are exclusive here. Prague is thus Good for some limited shopping.

Prague is a fairly connected place. For Europeans, there is Rail and Road. Else, Ryan Air and Easy Jet offer cheap flights from all over Europe. Tourists from other Continents must prefer Airlines like British Airways, Air France, Lufthansa, KLM, Emirates, Etihad, Fly Dubai, Turkish Airline and Aeroflot. If you are visiting other places in Europe, consider Rail or Road.
