The Beautiful City of Brisbane

Brisbane is the capital of the state of Queensland. Queensland is Australia’s sunshine state and enjoys a subtropical climate. It has Hot Humid summers, and  warm sunny winters.  In Brisbane, anytime of the year is a good time for Outdoor Adventurous Activities.  The relaxing side of Brisbane can be found in  the Parklands, Museums and Bars.  Brisbane is Australia’s 3rd largest city and houses over 2 million people.  The city has turned out to be a beautiful getaway destination for tourists. The city has everything that a multicultural cosmopolitan city should have. Brisbane is a combination of Food, Culture, Beauty and Nature.

Getting around Brisbane is easy. The city has a good Public Transport system, connecting you to every corner of the city. Some nearby places can be explored on foot, provided the weather is good. Mostly, you would need Public Transport to get around.  Begin your exploration by  taking the historic elevator to the top of the clock Tower  in Brisbane city Hall.  Follow this up with the Brisbane Museum, Southbank Parklands, Innovative Gallery of Modern Art and the Queensland Art Gallery. Other famous Places include Southbank Markets, Kangaroo Point, Mount Coot-tha,  Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, Queensland Performing Art Centre, Fortitude Valley, Gallery of Modern Art, Wheel of Brisbane, Queen street Mall and Story Bridge. These attractions entertain people with all sorts of interests and preferences.

Food is good in Brisbane. It is somehow similar to Melbourne and Sydney. Most of the Restaurants here serve Asian cuisine. Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Thai are the most popular. The city is also full of Cafes and Bars. Southbank has a wide variety of Food options. Besides that, the Queen street Mall is also famous among Food Lovers. If you are more into Nightclubs and Pubs, visit Fortitude Valley. This is the Party Place for tourists as well as locals. Food is not a problem in Brisbane. There is something for everyone here.

Shopping is decent in Brisbane. It has a lot of Malls, Retail Stores, Shopping Centres and weekend Markets. Some things are cheap, while some are expensive. Australia is usually cheaper than Europe, and expensive than America. In Brisbane, you will find all major brands and outlets. It depends on what you are purchasing. Overall, it is good enough to spend some time in shopping. Southbank and Queen street Mall have great shops. Apart from them, street shops are also available for you.  Make sure you don’t spend too much time on shopping.

 Brisbane is a well-connected city. Its International Airport is one of the Busiest after Melbourne and Sydney. Qantas is the National Carrier of Australia. It has services to Asia, Europe and North America from Brisbane. Other Airlines having services to Brisbane include Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Thai Airways, ANA and Air Asia. With these options, you can get a flight to Brisbane from almost anywhere in the world. Once in Brisbane, you can also take out 2-3 days to visit Gold Coast. Gold Coast is just 2 hour Drive from Brisbane.
