City of Romance - Paris

Paris is situated in the Northern part of France on the banks of the river Seine. The French capital has a population of over 12 million with people from all over Europe. Also known as the city of Romance, it attracts over 42 million visitors every year from all over the world. Among tourists, it’s one of the most visited places in the world. This picturesque city has some of the most beautiful attractions. The symbol of Paris is the Eiffel Tower.  Besides, the streets and natural beauty makes it a traveller’s paradise. There are 2 major airports in Paris, namely Charles de Gaulle & Orly Airport. Charles de Gaulle is the main International Airport. If you are arriving at Orly, there is an RER train service, but it’s a pain as it has lots of changes, shuttle buses and inconvenient stations. The best option may be to take the Orly bus, which takes you to central Paris in 30 minutes for around 8 Euros. On the other hand, Charles de Gaulle is well connected by RER and takes 35 minutes to the city for just 10 Euros. Paris can be explored by Metro, Taxi or Bicycle, but the best charms of the city may be found when you are on foot. While walking, you will find some of the best picture perfect locations. Always make sure you have ample time to explore the city by foot. Between the beautiful scenery and monuments, you will find the Eiffel Tower. This Iron Lady could be seen from all over the city. It is 300m tall and was built in 1889. Whether you stand down on its feet or top of it, the view is breath-taking.

The river Seine runs between the city of Paris. You should definitely take a cruise on the river Seine. It takes you all around Paris. An evening cruise gives you a gorgeous view of the city. Paris may be called as the city of Romance, but it is also called city of Lights, City of Art and City of Fashion. The brilliant Art work may be seen on many buildings and monuments. Being the fashion conscious city, Paris has one of the most beautiful looking station entrances.

Food in Paris is great. In fact, you would be doing a disservice to this city if you do not throw yourself to its food culture. For the best food experience, take a walk to the residential areas where you will find restaurants and snack bars in backstreets and courtyards. Besides, you will find multi-cuisine restaurants, cafes and Bars all around the city. Paris is the fashion capital of the world. Hence, you would find high end shopping centres, luxurious fashion brands and exclusive boutiques. You may find Paris expensive for shopping, but you would find some of the best brands out here.
